Opened in 1964 it is not one of the most important museums in the UK. But, it does possess a few good examples of works by Peter Blake, Frank Brangwyn, Horace Brodzky, Patrick Caulfield, Jacob Epstein, Gopal-Chowdhury, Eric Gill, Maggi Hambling, Laura Knight, Moffat Lindner, Bernard Meninsky, Bertram Priestman, Paula Rego, Carel Weight and Turner Award nominated sculptor, Shiraz Housaiary.
