Fosse Gallery

For thirty years the Fosse Gallery based at Stow-on-the-Wold has exhibited works by members of the Royal Academy spanning the 20th century. The gallery began as a major exhibition centre for 20th century Modern British art when collector and dealer Don Steyn joined forces with his fellow Irishman Gerry O'Farrell the latter of whom had been in situ with Brian Sinfield since 1980, but selling largely Victorian paintings. A magnet for artists, dealers and collectors alike, the Fosse became a meeting place for people from all over the British Isles. Don and Gerry staged many important and memorable exhibitions.

In 1998 the present owner Sharon Wheaton joined the Fosse Gallery, working closely with Don Steyn until his retirement in 2006.
