John Russell Gallery

This Gallery opened in 1970 on the quayside of Ipswich. It lasted nearly 40 years, during which time it promoted and sold contemporary art created mainly by East Anglian artists. The establishment also restored works of art, offered a framing service, and gave valuations where requested. The Gallery closed when the owner, Anthony Coe retired in 2018. The building now operates as a restaurant.

Artists amongst the many who exhibited at the gallery included Bernard Cheese, Julie Giles and Colin Moss.
