Tenby Museum and Art Gallery
Pembrokeshire in west Wales houses museums and art galleries in Tenby, Milford Haven, Haverfordwest and Pembroke. The largest and arguably most important is the one located in Tenby. It was established in 1878 and is proud of being the oldest independent museum in Wales. It houses an assorted collection featuring celebrated artists such as John Piper, Kyffin Williams, Anthony Devas, David Jones, Ray Howard-Jones, Frank Salisbury, Philip Sutton, and the town's most famous siblings Augustus and Gwen John.
The small collection at Milford Haven is almost entirely made up of works by amateur artists and most bear a strong maritime theme.
