Victoria and Albert Museum
Founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, the Museum is located in Kensington, London. The world-renowned V&A is arguably the world’s biggest museum of decorative arts, holding a permanent collection of over four and a half million artefacts. Located within its buildings is the National Art Library. It is a major reference library, and is freely accessible to the public and specialises in material about the fine and decorative arts of many countries and periods. It also contains substantial sources for information about artists.
