Keele University Art Collection
The university art collection was formed in the early 1960's encouraged by a generous donation by Sir Barnett Stross, MP,(1899-1967). Many artists working in Britain in the post-World War II period are represented in this gift including the works of Lowry, Michael Ayrton, Duncan Grant, Julian Trevelyan and Rowley Smart and sculptors Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. The University's collecting policy aims to continue with the acquisition of works by British and regional artists from the 20th century to the present.
