London Transport Museum
Located in Covent Garden the Museum houses more than 5,000 posters and 700 original poster artworks. From the 1920’s under the guidance of Frank Pick, London Underground and London Transport created a strong and individual visual identity based on a culture of good design. Pick was to become the Managing Director London Underground and later the first Chief Executive of London Transport. He changed the face of London below its surface by commissioning the very best of designers and artists a way of life that continues today. Artists and designers whose work can be seen in the Covent Garden museum include, Victor Reinganum, Tom Eckersley, Eric Fraser, F. Gregory Brown, James Fitton, Dora Batty and Abraham Games.
