Southport School of Art

Southport Technical College opened in 1935 and in 1989it changed its name to Southport College. This reformed institution brought together several technical courses offered since 1887 throughout Southport, then part of Lancashire. In 1938 the Southport School of Arts & Crafts was founded, and the two institutions were amalgamated in 1989 to form Southport College. January 2018 saw the merger of Southport College and King George V College.

Alumni and staff have included Bernard Kay, Albert Halliwell, Frank Hampson, Herbert Royle and Myerscough-Jones.
