West Bromwich School of Art

In 1886 the West Bromwich Institute began art classes and in 1891after the establishment of the Technical Instruction Act it became the town council's responsibility. Thus the School became the Municipal School of Art and was transferred from the Institute in 1902 and became known as Ryland School of Art. In 1969 the 'Ryland' merged with three other colleges to form the West Bromwich College of Commerce and Technology. The building found use as a school and then as the West Bromwich campus of Sandwell College. It is now home to the British Muslim School.
