Fosseway Artists

The Fosseway Artists were established in 1965 when its 'predecessor' Cirencester Art Club closed. The object of the group was and still is to provide locally based artists with the chance to show and sell their works. The exhibitions are held bi-annually in Spring and Autumn and latterly have been held in the esteemed Compton Cassey Gallery, situated near Withington in Gloucestershire. So that standards are upheld, two guest selectors are invited from outside the Society to select work for exhibiting. The only criteria for selection is the quality of work. Artists who have been exhibiting members include founder member Stanley Dent, Ken Oliver, Joyce Oliver, Tom Barnard, Denys Delhanty and Kate Delhanty.
