Norwich 20 Group
This Group founded in November 1944 is as its name suggests is a group of artists in Norfolk, England. Stimulated by contemporary art movements, the original membership comprising only 14 was intent on raising standards of local professional art to something worthy of the artistic history of the county by mutual criticism and appraisal of work. The Group continues to flourish today and since its inception, more than 250 artists have been members. At the time of writing, there are currently more than 90 registered members. Well-known members have included Bernard Reynolds, Michael Andrews, Mary Newcomb, Jeffery Camp and Cavendish Morton. From 1945 until the end of 2013, some 150 art exhibitions have been organised at venues largely in Norwich but also throughout East Anglia and some in mainland Europe.
